Premier’s Design Mark

Studio Hacienda is a collaboration between contemporary jewellers Blanche Tilden and Phoebe Porter. Both trained in gold and silversmithing and glass at the ANU School of Art. Their paths crossed in 2005 when Porter was awarded the Australia Council Emerging Artist Mentorship to work with Tilden for a three month period.  Unknown to each other previous to this award, the pair developed an instant rapport, sharing a similar design aesthetic, a passion for making and a commitment to contemporary jewellery practice. While each continuing their individual practices, Tilden and Porter regularly collaborate on special projects under the name Studio Hacienda.
